Our very own Sandalio "Sandy" Gonzalez, retired Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has worked to expose the "Infamous House of Death" since he first learned of it in early 2004. It is a case that has largely been ignored by America's main stream media, including the TV Networks. If not for the work over the past four years by Bill Conroy, whose articles were published by NarcoNews.com this story would have been confined to El Paso and Juarez media as the case of U.S. vs. Ramos/Compean nearly was.

The House of Death case involved a U.S. government informant’s participation in at least a dozen murders in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, aka ICE, did know what took place and instead of doing something about it, they let the murders continue to go on. It was only when DEA Agents were compromised, which led to El Paso DEA SAC Sandy Gonzalez ordering an evacuation of a Juarez based Agent and his family, that DEA learned what was really going on. At that point, Mr. Gonzalez, fired off a letter to his ICE counterpart as well as U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton. The DEA Administrator then suggested demoting Mr. Gonzalez from his position, though that did not happen, and instead he received a downgrade in his next efficiency report though that was later changed as he sued the government and retired. The fact is that rather than stopping the murders, which were known as they were happening, and bringing to justice those involved, the U.S. government’s next role was to engage in a massive ongoing cover-up that reaches into the highest levels of the departments of Justice and Homeland Security as was acknowledged in Mr. Gonzalez' suit by his superiors at DEA.

We have posted articles, one of which includes an audio transcript of the ICE informant "Lalo's" appeal hearing as he fights a deportation order by our government who knows that "Lalo" as an informant will be tortured and murdered if he is returned to Mexico. Why does our own government, who gave him over $250,000 during the House of Death murder spree want him deported so badly, because he is the star witness and knows everything. Instead our government has chosen to attempt to send him back to certain torture and death as part of the cover-up. It is a most shocking story, and shows the level of hypocrisy of Johnny Sutton clearly to anyone who heard Sutton's statements in regard to Ramos, Compean, and Gilmer Hernandez.

The result beyond murder, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and even tampering with evidence (not proven, but a plausible allegation) is that by engaging in a cover-up instead of bringing those involved to justice, Mexico who had full knowledge of the U.S. Government's part, has since blackmailed the U.S. and received favorable border and immigration policies. This resulted in effecting law enforcement operations, and even secured better trade bargaining positions.
