Elva Garza, Sr. Advisor

Ms. Elva Garza has known of the problems dealing with illegal immigration since she was growing up in South Texas. Illegal immigration has dire effects on a society. America has laws that are being ignored by invaders that have no right to be in this country. This country will not be able to sustain such a large number of illegal aliens. Illegal immigration has a huge impact on our criminal system. A desire to educate the public on the effects of illegal immigration is even more critical at the moment. Not only is America facing huge problems with illegal invaders, but with it comes the criminal element.

Agent Jesus "Chito" Diaz is such a case. In his capacity as a BP Agent, Agent Diaz met one of the dangers in dealing with an illegal alien. Having friends from Texas that were BP Agents, Elva first heard of Agent Jesus "Chito" Diaz. His case is a perfect example of what can happen to a agent doing his duty to protect our country. It is Elva's desire to help bring awareness to the unjustice being done to Agent Diaz. In addition, it is crucial that in the future the same does not happen to another of our BP Agents.

As President Reagan said, "A Nation without Borders, Is Not a Nation". As such Elva believes, "We need to seal our borders."

Elva Garza holds a degree in Education with Honors, from Howard College in Columbia, MD. She has worked for Population Data Statistics (POPLAB), the MBA Program and Anthropology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In addition, she was the Latin American Program Coordinator for International Projects Assistance Services (IPAS), in Carrboro, NC. In this capacity, she developed and coordinated projects in five Latin American countries. In coordination with the medical profession she initiated maternal-child healthcare projects in Equador, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicaragua and the State of Mexico.

Elva was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the LEOAC' Advisory Board due to her vast experience in understanding what is taking place with illegal immigration and why.
