Corey Pudwill, Director of Business Relations

For 15 years, Corey Pudwill has served state and municipal governments. He performed with distinction as a municipal police officer. Corey received many awards during his time as an officer including officer of the year from his department. He was active for a decade as a volunteer police officer rising to the rank of captain with 20 officers under him. Corey started his career with the state of Minnesota in their programs for people committed as mentally ill and dangerous.

  An allegation of a politically sensitive nature was leveled against him in his capacity as an officer. With little investigative work conducted by the government and their refusal to accept any exculpatory evidence including his passing a polygraph test, his department decided that terminating and criminally charging him was the politically expedient action to take. Corey fought for 3 years with the help of his legal defense fund to win an acquittal. 

  After witnessing first hand how the criminal justice system can be perverted by those in power Corey has become dedicated to the advocacy of all officers being wrongfully opposed by their own departments. He and his wife, Sarah, are active in counseling officers and their families that are going through similar situations.

Corey joined the Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council as their Director of Business Relations where he is responsible for developing their outreach to the business community as well as coordinating fundraising and grant efforts.  

Corey has a B.S. in Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a minor in Political Science. Corey has been a youth firearms safety instructor for 17 years and has volunteered with multiple civic organizations most of his life.

Corey is married to his high school sweetheart Sarah and they reside in Minnesota with their five sons.
